  1. Watch your words: Often times with job descriptions, words have hidden meanings. Don't use words in job descriptions that may be construed to deter others from applying. 
  2. Know your why: If your response is because your CEO said so, you must know why diversity is important from the top to bottom.
  3. Excuses be damned: Take one step, and start with the one change and action and test and see what results you get. Developing diverse talent doesn't have to be a huge initiative.
