Your Company Careers Page
You can bet that candidates are taking a peek at your careers page if they're interested in working with you. You can embed your job and/or company videos right on that page using the YouTube embed link, or directly uploading the video file. If you are using Skill Scout recruiting pages, you can link from you careers page with a big fat button that says "Apply Here" next to each respective job.
Your Job Board Postings
Wherever you are promoting your jobs, candidates should see your video(s) as a first touchpoint. If you post on job boards, Indeed to Craigslist, embed a link to your video.
Facebook + Instagram
Hiring is inherently social. So are Facebook and Instagram. These are productive channels to reach people who might not be actively looking for you on a job board. Here are some tips for posting to Facebook + Instagram:
Same rules apply for LinkedIn as for Facebook and Instagram. Additionally:
Career Fairs + Campus Recruiting + Trade Shows
You should use your video(s) and recruiting page(s) anytime you're out in the community engaging talent, whether that's a career fair you are holding on site, campus recruiting events, or trade shows. You will stand out from your competition and attract folks to your table!
WHAT SKILL SCOUT DOES
Skill Scout Network of Candidates
We have a growing community of candidates (2,000+) in the manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, hospitality and food service industries. These are people who are looking for work, or have found work through Skill Scout and are part of our referral network. Your job will be shared via email newsletter with our candidate network. Many companies report back that they have hired candidates who found out about their job through our Network of Candidates.
Skill Scout Social Media
Hey, we follow our own advice! Using the tips above, we share your job to our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram and Snapchat. If we really like you, you might even see us sharing with our own personal networks.
Relevant Job Boards
We have publishing tools that share your job in places where relevant candidates are looking. Hiring a Welder in Chicago? You might see your job posted on Kennedy King College or JARC's job boards. Looking for Nurses in Baltimore? You'll definitely see your job show up with the Johns Hopkins and CCBC boards. We make it our business to know where to find skilled candidates in your industry and area. You will also see your posting show up in places like Indeed, Glassdoor, Jobr, Careerjet, and many other places.
From time to time, Skill Scout hosts hiring events to invite candidates to apply on the spot for open positions in a given location. If a hiring event is coming to your city, we'll let you know!
